Click the flame and the streak opens into a card: your current run, your best ever, the total days you've written — and the month as a grid of dots, one per day, filled where you showed up. Today wears a ring. It's the calendar-on-the-wall trick, the one comedians and gym rats swear by, living inside your notes app.
Fair rules
A streak that dies while you sleep teaches you to resent it. Hejour's flame goes out only if a whole day truly passes with nothing written — until midnight, today just shows an unlit flame, patiently waiting. Any words count: a todo, one honest sentence, a note captured from your iPhone. No minimum word counts, no guilt mechanics.
Nothing is tracked
The streak is computed from the notes already on your Mac, on the fly. There's no counter synced to a server, no habit database, no analytics event with your name on it — delete a day's note and the dot goes dark, because the note is the record.
And when the number gets big enough to brag about, the share button turns the card into an image for X, Messages, or wherever your accountability lives.
