Notes that live
in your days.

A calm macOS notebook where every day is a page
and days can pass notes to each other.

Fast·Private·Keyboard-first·Fun
The Hejour app showing Today's note: a Plan heading, todos with one checked off, an inline-code name, a highlighted Swift code block, and a linked For Tomorrow section
@

Link days

Type @, pick a day, and a note section opens for that day. Tomorrow, it's already waiting for you.

Carry over

Unfinished todos from past days roll onto Today. Check one off it's completed back in its original note.

⌘P

Find anything

One palette searches every line of every day, jumps to dates, and lists all open todos with !.

Linked.

Type @, pick a day — the same section lives on both days at once.

Ticked.

[] makes a todo. Ticking one strikes the line, satisfyingly.

Found.

⌘P searches every line of every day — and jumps you there.

Colored.

``` opens a code block with syntax highlighting and a Copy button.
Captured.
One global shortcut drops a thought into Today — from anywhere on your Mac.
Tidy.
No alert boxes — the delete chip asks you inline, then everything slides away.
Write like a developer.
Type ``` and you're in a code block syntax highlighting for Swift, TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust and more, with auto-indent and a hover-to-copy button.
Capture from anywhere.
Press ⇧⌘M in any app and a small field pops up above the Dock. Hit return the line lands at the end of Today.
Your templates, one key away.
Save snippets in Settings, then type ; in a note to drop them in checkboxes and headings come alive automatically.
Synced, the boring way.
Notes are plain files in iCloud Drive. Every day is its own file, images are deduplicated, and nothing ever leaves your Apple account.
Remind me at three.
Every todo grows a little bell. Pick a date and time, a chip lands on the line and macOS pings you at the right moment.
Routines run themselves.
“Gym” every Monday, “invoices” on the 1st recurring todos appear on Today by themselves. Delete one to skip just that day.
Locked like a diary.
Flip one switch and Hejour asks for Touch ID or your password before showing a single word. Your days are yours.
Scriptable, naturally.
A hejour:// URL scheme lets Shortcuts, Raycast and shell scripts open any day or append a line to Today without stealing focus.
Free to start.
Questions, answered.
Is my data private?
Completely. Hejour has no servers and no accounts. Notes live on your Mac optionally synced through your own iCloud Drive and their content is never read or sent anywhere.
Where are my notes stored?
In a plain folder: one small file per day, plus your images. Local by default, or in iCloud Drive/Hejour if you enable sync in Settings.
Does it auto-update?
Yes releases are notarized by Apple and delivered in-app via Sparkle. You'll get a quiet prompt when a new version ships.
Which macOS versions are supported?
Hejour targets recent macOS releases on Apple Silicon and Intel. Grab the latest DMG from GitHub Releases.
